1. Significance of Magh Amavas

The Sun and the Moon are found in the zodiac sign of Capricorn and on Mauni Amavasya day, Sun stays in Capricorn native for a month and the moon for around two days. This celestial position balances the main Nadis of a person. It has vital forces and stabilizes Nadis through pranayama and meditation combined with silence. This act stimulates Kundali Shakti and develops spiritual sadhana.

Mauni Amavas is the last Amavasya in the whole year before Maha Shivratri arrives. Vow of silence indicates the awakening of wisdom and Maun controls the thoughts or mind and impulsive acts.
