Bengali Calendar or Bengali Panjika is a solar calendar that follows Surya Siddhanta and Bisuddha Siddhanta for planetary calculation. It is used by Bengali natives across the globe and is mainly used in West Bengal, Tripura, Assam and Bangladesh.

Bengali Panchang comprises twelve months starting from Boishakh (বৈশাখ), Joishţho (জ্যৈষ্ঠ), Ashaaŗh (আষাঢ়), Shrabon (শ্রাবণ), Bhadro (ভাদ্র), Ashswin (আশ্বিন), Kartik (কার্তিক), Ôgrohaeon (অগ্রহায়ণ), Poush (পৌষ), Magh (মাঘ), Falgun (ফাল্গুন), Choitro (চৈত্র). The seven day are referred to as Sunday as Rôbibar (রবিবার), Monday as Sombar (সোমবার), Tuesday as Mônggôlbar (মঙ্গলবার), Wednesday as Budhbar (বুধবার), Thursday as Brihôspôtibar (বৃহস্পতিবার), Friday as Shukrôbar (শুক্রবার), Saturday as Shônibar (শনিবার).

New Year: Bengali New Year or Poiyla Boishakh falls on the first day of Boishakh month. It commences on April 14 every year on the Gregorian Calendar.
