Personal Life of Shivaji Chhatrapati

In respect to his personal life, Shivaji had married Saibai, Soyarabai, Kashibai, Putalabai, Sakvarbai, and Sagunabai. Among all Saibai is believed to be the first wife. In total, he had three daughters named Sakhubai, Ranubai, and Ambika Bai and a son named Sambhaji born of Saibai; a son named Rajaram and a daughter named Deepabai born of Soyarabai, a daughter named Raj Kunvarbai born of Sagunabai and another daughter named Kamlabai born of Sakvarbai.

How did Chhatrapati Shivaji die?

Chhatrapati Shivaji died on April 3, 1680, in Raigad at the age of 52 due to high fever and dysentery. The other sources say that he died due to the intake of poison under a conspiracy held against him. The actual cause of his death is still a mystery.
