What is Saphala Ekadashi?

Saphala Ekadashi is one of the most pious and favorable fasting days for the devotees. It takes place in the ‘Paush’ month during the Krishna Paksha on the 11th day as per the Hindu calendar.   • The devotees keep a Saphala Ekadashi fast in the name of Lord Vishnu.
  • Starting from the dawn of Ekadashi, the fast continues by the sunrise of next morning which is called as Dwadashi.
  • The observers are required to consume satvik food only. In a milder form of the fast, devotees can observe a half-day or a partial fast.
